:: IMAGE SEQUENCER

I originally pitched this to Malibu for their Sunset Social website, which they liked and ended up going with.

This loads all the images from the server. All frames of every sequence are on the stage at once with their visiblility set to false. I wrote an Image Sequencer class that shows and hides whatever frame you choose. I made it like this because, with a simple enterFrame script, you can play any sequence forward or backward, at random or whatever... also, it worked out better this way because in the end, the 3d renders changed a lot and it was much simpler to update by just uploading the new frames. Also, once the frames have loaded, they are cached by the browser and the swf loads a lot faster.

I modeled and amimated the cameras in Maya and for this test just rendered them with simple Lambert shaders using Mental Ray's Final Gather. The "people" were just cut-outs on 2d planes, which were parented to the cameras so they always faced toward them.
